The Sphere, the Flesh and the Machine
A kinetic sculpture: a panoramic image machine made of wood and steel; combining contemporary technology and elements of archaic and analogue mechanisms. This produces a disruption in the nostalgic representations, bringing to the works an uncertain kind of fictional space. They aesthetically reference nostalgia and the past, but they do not re-enact the past, they work unexpectedly in the mechanics and logic of the present. The moving machinery spins two video projectors, scattering the images around the space.
